A NATURIST TOWN: PLAYA VERA

Vera Naturist Beach: Freedom Under the Sun on the Almería Coast

A Destination Designed for Living Naturally

What makes Vera truly unique isn’t just its Mediterranean beauty or privileged climate (over 300 days of sunshine a year), but the fact that here naturism isn’t the exception—it’s the norm.

Vera naturist beach overview

The naturist area of Vera Playa is fully integrated: not only can you enjoy the clothing-optional beach, but there are also naturist-friendly residential communities, hotels, restaurants, and shops where walking around nude is completely normal—always with respect and common sense.

One of the main hubs is the Vera Natura urbanization, which, along with Natura World and other nearby complexes, forms a neighborhood where living without clothes is as everyday as sunbathing or going to the supermarket.

A Beach Welcoming All Bodies

The official naturist beach stretches over two kilometers, featuring fine golden sand, calm waters, and a family-friendly, safe, and relaxed atmosphere.

It’s a place where bodies are shown as they truly are: young, old, slender, curvy, tattooed, scarred, natural. Everyone is welcome, and everyone finds a space to feel free.

More than just a spot to sunbathe without a swimsuit, Vera is an invitation to reconcile with your body, your story, and your right to inhabit the world without shame.

A Living, Conscious Community

Vera Playa has also become a meeting point for activists, travelers, and naturism lovers from around the world. In the summer, events, gatherings, markets, and cultural activities take place, reinforcing the strong sense of community.

It’s easy to arrive and instantly feel like you belong. Conversations flow naturally, looks carry no judgment, and a deep sense of respect can be felt in every corner.

Meeting @siendoviajeros: a Picnic, Skin in the Sun, and Great Life Stories

My naturist summer keeps bringing magical encounters. This time, on the Andalusian coast, I had the pleasure of meeting @siendoviajeros, an inspiring couple traveling the world… by bike and au naturel.

We didn’t know much about each other, just a few interactions on social media, but when we met, the connection was immediate. We decided to share a picnic au naturel under the sun, no filters, no clothes—just two people recognizing each other through authenticity.

A Journey Without Rush, Without Poses, Without Prejudices

@siendoviajeros have been traveling dirt roads, coasts, villages, and mountains for quite some time. But it’s not just about cycling—they live by a deeply coherent philosophy: living slowly, connecting with people, caring for each other, and honoring the planet.

Their way of sharing the world isn’t touristy, it’s experiential. Listening to them is like opening a notebook full of anecdotes, challenges, unexpected rains, human kindness, and personal discoveries.

A Picnic That Turned into an Intimate Conversation

What mattered wasn’t what was on the blanket, but what was between the lines: we talked about vulnerability, the body, and what it truly means to live without masks—literally. We laughed, we were moved, and we recorded part of the conversation so more people could hear the voices behind the journeys.

It was one of those moments that seem small but feel enormous. Where skins tan, but souls open too.
